(VIDEO) More options to satisfy your food cravings are coming to the southwest side of campus.
You wake up on a Wednesday morning and see that your professor canceled class, so you try to roll back over and catch up on some sleep, but your appetite won't let you.
You have some extra time today and decide that you'd like to sit down and dine. You text a friend to see if they'd like to grab lunch with you.
Both of you are going through some options and want some hearty and fulfilling food. You've been craving your mother's cooking for some time, and you're tired of eating at the same fast-food spots. Your friend mentions that The Fresh Plate at Wall/Gates Hall offers traditional homestyle meals and this piques your interest.
The two of you walk over to Wall/Gates and head over to the traditional line, you fix your plate and sit down to enjoy your food. You dig in for your first bite and notice it's not your mother's cooking, but it's pretty good.
“We are the best value to dine at here on campus”, said Unit Manager of The Fresh Plate at Wall/Gates Jesse Hernandez. “We work with our chefs to create a three-week rotating menu as opposed to the previous location where they were a one-week rotation. That opens more options for the students to come and dine.”
This dining hall offers a variety of options including four lines that feature pizza, burgers, a salad bar, and the homestyle cooking line. It also has a fruit bar and an arrangement of desserts to choose from. Wall/Gates also has hot sandwiches, Mexican cuisine, and pizzas. Wall/Gates offers this at the best value on campus, promising to stretch your dining bucks the extra mile.
The second option we're covering is The Commons at Talkington Hall. This dining hall has two stories of mouth-watering choices sure to satisfy every palate. There's plenty of space here to sit down, enjoy your meal and catch up with a friend.
The Commons has a little bit of everything from ramen to chicken and waffles and Mediterranean food. The Commons offers a healthy variety of grab-and-go options as well as an Einstein Bros. Bagels store front. This dining hall also supports Transact Mobile Ordering for those days when you're in a hurry. Overall, both dining halls provide an array of options to satisfy your cravings.
