The in-house team of Texas Tech’s signature publication won a prestigious award alongside the New York Times and HUE Magazine.
The results are in, and Texas Tech University's signature publication Evermore is officially one of the best-designed editorial pieces in the world.
Produced by an in-house team from the Office of Communications & Marketing, Evermore recently was announced as one of three winners in the global PRINT Award editorial category.
“PRINT Magazine is one of the most prestigious and well-respected design publications in the world,” said Evermore Creative Lead Armando Godinez. “I'm beyond thrilled that Evermore magazine and Texas Tech University are represented among this list of outstanding winners and some of the most innovative design industry titans.”
The PRINT awards highlight the very best in design from around the world. The outstanding work of the Evermore team, which has to date produced just four issues of the magazine, went head-to-head against world-renowned design companies, advertising agencies and editorial publications.
With 72 winners announced across 24 categories, Evermore was joined in winning an editorial award by The New York Times – a publication giant – and HUE Magazine, which partnered with outside design company Alexander Isley Inc. for a redesign.
“Evermore is a showpiece for Texas Tech, and this award further demonstrates what we already knew – that it's among the best publications in the world,” said Texas Tech President Lawrence Schovanec.
Evermore's strategic design philosophy is driven entirely by the idea of capturing the essence of Texas Tech and the grit, determination and outstanding achievements of Red Raiders. The in-house Evermore team is made up almost entirely of Texas Tech graduates who take great pride in showing the very best of the place they call home.
“Evermore's unique design highlights the talent available at Texas Tech,” said Vice President of Communications & Marketing Matt Dewey. “To win a PRINT award is a monumental achievement for the Evermore team and a testament to the programs at Texas Tech and the talent they produce.”
