WHAT: Texas Tech University's College of Human Sciences and local collaborators will host a one-day rural health symposium, “Reimagining America's Rural Healthcare.”
WHEN: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 4)
WHERE: Knipling Education and Conference Center, Covenant Medical Center west parking garage, 21st Street and Louisville Avenue, sixth floor
EVENT: This one-day symposium will involve multidisciplinary brainstorming on current and forthcoming challenges as well as emerging opportunities to enhance the physical, mental and social health of rural populations. It will include expert panel discussions and keynote addresses by U.S. Rep. Jodey Arrington and John Henderson, CEO of the Texas Organization of Rural & Community Health. Lunch is included and a networking social will follow the event's conclusion.
The organizations collaborating to organize the symposium are Cogdell Memorial Hospital, Covenant Health, Parkhill, the Texas Organization of Rural & Community Health, Texas Tech and the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
