Texas Tech Campus Store to Hold Naming Contest

Students should submit their name proposals by April 8.

The Texas Tech Campus Store by Follett is hosting a naming contest for its location in the Student Union Building. Name submissions will be accepted from today (March 1) through April 8. Voting on the top four submissions will begin April 18.

“With the transition in campus store partners and the upcoming store remodel, we want the Texas Tech community to put its stamp of approval on the new Texas Tech Campus Store name,” said Cole Johnson, regional manager at Follett. “It's your store, and you should be a partner in what it is called.”

To submit a name proposal, visit @TexasTech on Instagram and leave a comment with your name suggestion on the contest post.

“This is a fun, great way for students to be a part of the new campus store,” Johnson said.

The winning name will be revealed during Raider Welcome (Aug. 12-Sept. 3), and the winner will receive free course materials from the store for the upcoming fall term.
