Karr Ingham, president of InghamEcon, LLC, will speak to students next week.
WHAT: Texas Tech University's School of Law hosts Karr Ingham as part of its Energy Law Lecture Series.

EVENT: Karr Ingham will present "Oil and Gas Economics 101—Markets at Work” at the upcoming Texas Tech School of Law Energy Law Lecture Series.
Ingham is an economist from Amarillo, Texas, and is the owner and president of InghamEcon, LLC, an economic analysis and research firm specializing in statewide, regional and metro area economics and oil and gas/energy economics.
Since 2003, he has served as the consulting petroleum economist for the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers. He was named executive vice president of the organization in November 2019.
Ingham conducts ongoing economic analysis and forecasting for banks, media corporations, chambers of commerce, economic development organizations and other clients across the state. He also conducts ongoing oil and gas market and industry analyses at the state and national level.
He is a member of the U.S. Association for Energy Economics and co-chairs the Supply and Demand Committee of the Independent Petroleum Association of America. He also is a member of the Texas Comptroller's Economic Roundtable, a group of economists who advise the Comptroller on the general condition of the Texas economy and ongoing revenue outlook.
Ingham also is the creator of the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers Texas Petro Index, a tool for tracking growth rates and industry cycles in the Texas oil and gas exploration and production sector, as well as the Alliance Texas Permian Basin Petroleum Index.
Ingham is a native of the Texas Panhandle and graduated magna cum laude with a BBA in economics from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas.
