Professor´s children´s book earns `Best Books 2010´

Canyon News - Emily Hunt, assistant professor of mechanical engineering at WTAMU, and her co-author, Dr. Michelle Pantoya, associate professor of mechanical engineering at Texas Tech University, received word Tuesday, Oct. 26 from USABookNews.com that their book Engineering Elephants had been named a finalist in the seventh annual “Best Books 2010” in the Children’s Picture Book Nonfiction category. No defense evidence at Hasan Article 32 hearing

The accused doesn’t have to prove anything,” said Richard Rosen, professor and director of Texas Tech University’s Center for Military Law and Policy. He is not involved in the Hasan case.

As cotton prices soar, China - not Texas - at center of it all

Dallas Morning News - In a normal year – when cotton sells for 50 cents to 80 cents a pound – Texas Tech University economists say the state's growers sell about $2.1 billion of cotton. Many farmers sold their crops earlier this year and won't see the windfall from soaring prices. But next year's crop could offer growers a bounty like they've never seen.
