Companies have plans, but slow to pull trigger, Ehrie tells DCOA board

Abilene Reporter-News -Judy Wilhelm, director of the Texas Tech University Small Business Center, gave a report noting that the center helped entrepreneurs open 86 businesses in the 12-month period ending Oct. 1, up from 81 businesses in the previous year. But the slightly more than $6 million in capital formation associated with those companies was less than the $8 million last year and much less than the nearly $16 million in fiscal year 2009.
