EVENT: The Texas Tech University Free Market Institute will be honored with the Eppler Award from the Lubbock Economics Council at the James D. Eppler Memorial Award Luncheon on Friday.
Established in 2007, the James D. Eppler Memorial Economic Citizenship Award recognizes an individual or entity who has made distinguished contributions to the Lubbock community in economic education, business development and/or civic engagement.
The event's featured speaker, Julia Cartwright, is an associate professor of economics at Kalamazoo College and will present “The Economics of the Darknet: What the Internet Wild West Can Tell Us About Everyday Exchange.”
