WHATTexas Tech University's School of Law hosts Brigham A. McCown as part of its Energy Law Lecture Series.

WHEN:  Noon Monday (Sept. 11)

WHERE:  Lanier Auditorium, Texas Tech University School of Law, 3311 18th St. The lecture also will be presented virtually via Zoom.

EVENT:  Brigham McCown will present “Energy: The Promise, the Hype, the Reality” at the upcoming Texas Tech School of Law Energy Law Lecture Series.  

McCown is a senior fellow and director of the Initiative on American Energy Security at Hudson Institute.  

With more than 30 years of experience in corporate, non-profit, academic and federal government industries, McCown is an experienced leader. He has a reputation for developing top talent, creating innovative business strategies and achieving operational excellence.  

McCown is an expert in commerce, government, industry, law and policy and is considered a thought leader to Fortune 100 companies. He is a serial entrepreneur and philanthropist, a professor of law and policy at Miami University, a senior fellow at Hudson Institute and a lifetime fellow of the American Bar Association Foundation.  

He has held several senior positions during three presidential administrations, served on two presidential transition teams, and has been a partner at major law firms. He also practiced before the U.S. Supreme Court. Most recently, he was responsible for running one of the world's most complex energy-transportation infrastructure networks: the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System.  

McCown is a retired naval aviator and holds a law degree from Northern Kentucky University, an MBA from William & Mary and a bachelor's degree in diplomacy from Miami.
