The story of “Blacktop Sky” follows a young homeless man named Klass, who sets up residence in the courtyard of the housing projects where a woman named Ida Peters lives.

Triggered by a fatal confrontation between a local street vendor and the police, Klass and Ida quickly develop a precarious bond against the backdrop of a restless neighborhood.

This reading by Christina Anderson will offer a thoughtful look at homelessness, police violence, relationships and empathy.

Reservations are recommended and can be made by contacting the Maedgen Theatre Box Office.
