A mobile billboard will visit six Lubbock-area high schools this week.

WHAT: As part of Texas Tech University's Centennial Celebration, a mobile billboard will make six stops in Lubbock and Wolfforth this week.

9:25-11 a.m. Thursday (March 23) at Lubbock Cooper High School, 910 Woodrow Road

1-2:30 p.m. Thursday (March 23) at Frenship High School, 902 Dowden Road in Wolfforth

9-11 a.m. Friday (March 24) at Lubbock High School, 2004 19th St.

1:30-3:30 p.m. Friday (March 24) at Monterey High School, 3211 47th St.

9:20-11 a.m. Monday (March 27) at Coronado High School, 4910 29th Drive

1:45-3:15 p.m. Monday (March 27) at Estacado High School, 1504 E Itasca St.
EVENT: The mobile billboard will promote the Texas Tech Centennial celebrations across the state. The tour will showcase Texas Tech in a fun and creative manner at various locations, including high schools and Texas Tech Alumni Association chapter events. At each tour stop, guests can have their photos taken on the truck and take home Centennial swag.
Texas Tech President Lawrence Schovanec will join the tour at several stops, including these six Lubbock-area high schools. Statewide, he'll speak to approximately 6,600 high school students.
