Texas Tech Centennial Tour to Stop in Houston Area

A mobile billboard will visit Kingwood, Friendswood and Houston next week.

WHAT:  As part of Texas Tech University's Centennial Celebration, a mobile billboard will make two stops in your area this week. 

WHEN AND WHERE:

  • 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday (March 7) at Kingwood High School, 2701 Kingwood Drive in Kingwood

  • 9-11 a.m. Wednesday (March 8) at Friendswood High School, 702 Greenbriar Drive in Friendswood

  • Texas Tech Alumni Association Houston Chapter Centennial Celebration, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday (March 9) at Tommie Vaughn Ford, 1201 N. Shepherd Drive in Houston

  • Boots & Bowties: A Texas Tech Centennial Celebration, 6-10 p.m. Friday (March 10) at the Bayou Music Center, 520 Texas Ave. in Houston

  • Texas Tech Day at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, noon to 9 p.m. Saturday (March 11) at NRG Stadium, NRG Parkway in Houston

EVENT:  The mobile billboard will promote the Texas Tech Centennial celebrations across the state. The tour will showcase Texas Tech in a fun and creative manner at various locations, including high schools and Texas Tech Alumni Association chapter events. At each tour stop, guests can have their photos taken on the truck and take home Centennial swag.
