WHAT: Texas Tech University kicks off the service component of its centennial celebration with Lubbock Habitat for Humanity's 2022 Blitz Build.
WHEN: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 5-15 and 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 16
WHERE: 3300 E. Dartmouth St.
EVENT: The 2022 Blitz Build is Lubbock Habitat for Humanity's biggest event. The local Habitat construction staff and up to 1,200 volunteers will come together to build three affordable homes in 12 days.
Registration has begun and volunteers can sign-up through Sept. 16. As the event nears, volunteers who are signed up will receive a QR code with their application and waiver along with all pertinent details, including directions.
Participants are reminded to log their hours here to contribute toward the university's
goal of completing 1 million hours of volunteerism and service.
