WHAT: Texas Tech University and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will host a ribbon cutting to officially open their collaborative cotton classification complex.

WHERE: USDA Agricultural Marketing Service Cotton Classification Complex, 120 N. Texas Tech Parkway
EVENT: The event will officially cut the ribbon on the collaborative project between Texas Tech and the USDA. The Cotton Classification Complex is a first-of-its-kind collaboration between the USDA's Agricultural Marketing Service and an institute of higher learning. This event is open to the media.
Speakers will include Texas Tech University President Lawrence Schovanec and Texas Tech University System Chancellor Tedd L. Mitchell M.D. along with representatives from the USDA.
