Eileen Gianiodis will serve as the senior director of communications in the Office of the Provost.
Eileen Gianiodis has been named senior director of communications in the Office of the Provost at Texas Tech University, effective today (Nov. 1). Most recently, Gianiodis served as director of communications and marketing in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) at Michigan State University (MSU).
As senior director of communications, Gianiodis will plan and coordinate communications and marketing strategies for the Office of the Provost, including internal communications. Additionally, she will support the provost's team and engage regularly with a network of communicators around the university to promote greater awareness of Texas Tech's academic endeavors.
“Having worked together at MSU, I look forward to Eileen joining our Texas Tech team with the goal of improving communications from and in the Provost's Office,” Provost Ron Hendrick said.
At Michigan State, Gianiodis oversaw strategy and execution for all communications and marketing efforts for CANR and led a team of nearly 20 individuals. She also served as editor of “In the Field,” an award-winning magazine delivered annually to CANR alumni and stakeholders.
“Eileen built an outstanding team at Michigan State with a focus on driving impact and accomplishing institutional goals,” said Matt Dewey, Texas Tech vice president for communications and marketing. “Her skillset and experience will benefit the Office of the Provost and all of our academic units.”
Gianiodis is a graduate of St. Bonaventure University in New York state. She and her husband, Matt, have three adult children.
