Skyviews Restaurant to Host Grand Reopening Celebration

The celebration event will feature a five-course meal and Reddy Vineyards wine selection.

WHAT: Skyviews Restaurant of Texas Tech grand opening gala and five-course dinner celebration, supporting the Restaurant, Hotel and Institutional Management (RHIM) program.

WHEN: Friday (Sept. 17). Dinner seatings are at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

WHERE: Skyviews Restaurant, sixth floor, Texas Tech Plaza, 1901 University Ave.

EVENT: The Department of Hospitality and Retail Management's Skyviews Restaurant presents its grand opening gala and five-course dinner. Guests will be treated to a dinner menu prepared by executive chef Jason Lindley and wine pairings by the Texas Wine Marketing Research Institute.

Dinner reservations are available at $100 per ticket, with all proceeds supporting the RHIM program. Those unable to attend the event are welcome to make a donation. Following the event, Skyviews welcomes the public to visit its newly renovated space at Texas Tech Plaza for lunch service, the highly celebrated dinner series or for Pizza Kitchen delivery through the Favor delivery app.

Skyviews Restaurant

Skyviews is a full-service, largely self-supporting restaurant that provides a hospitality laboratory experience for students in the restaurant, hotel and institution management program at Texas Tech.

It has a lunch buffet and a dinner service, which is a four-course menu that changes weekly. It is open for lunch 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday and dinner 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday of set weeks during the semester.

Reservations are recommended.

Skyviews is at 1901 University Ave., Suite 600 (southeast corner of 19th Street and University Avenue) in the Texas Tech Plaza.
