Special Commencement Ceremony Announced for 2020 Graduates

Alumni who couldn’t walk the stage last year will have their opportunity in May.

Texas Tech University has scheduled a special commencement ceremony for its alumni who graduated in May and August 2020.

In-person ceremonies for those graduates were canceled due to COVID-19 concerns and in compliance with capacity restrictions. But true to the university's word, those graduates now have their opportunity to walk the stage in a special ceremony scheduled for 6 p.m. May 7 at Jones AT&T Stadium.

The ceremony is open to all May and August 2020 graduates from:

College of Architecture
College of Arts & Sciences
College of Education
College of Human Sciences
College of Media & Communication
Edward E. Whitacre Jr. College of Engineering
Graduate School (all doctoral and master's candidates)
Honors College
Jerry S. Rawls College of Business
J.T. & Margaret Talkington College of Visual & Performing Arts

All participating graduates are encouraged to RSVP by April 18. Note that eRaider credentials will be required to RSVP. For assistance logging in, refer to these instructions. Graduates who RSVP will receive an email the week of April 21 that contains a link for requesting tickets to the ceremony.
