The virtual ceremony is available online.
Despite not hosting graduating students and their families on campus for graduation due to COVID-19, Texas Tech University is still celebrating its May 2020 graduates. This semester, that celebration took place in the form of a virtual commencement ceremony.
The full virtual ceremony includes a commencement speech by former Texas Tech student and Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes, words from Texas Tech University System Chancellor Dr. Tedd L. Mitchell, Texas Tech President Lawrence Schovanec, Board of Regents Chairman Christopher Huckabee and Provost Michael Galyean.
Students were recognized with a graduate slide that featured their name and academic degree and honors, as well as a photo and personalized message to their family, friends and professors.
Families of graduates also submitted video messages to the university to show their love and support of their student.
