The guidelines deal with coming back to campus as well as the steps that must be taken to restart on-campus research projects.
The Texas Tech University Office of Research & Innovation is providing guidance regarding the eventual return to active research on campus. We are taking many active precautions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in our community through newly established practices and expectations among our research groups.
We have released guidance for individual researchers and research groups which is composed of five sections:
-
Outline of principles for guiding a safe transition back to campus.
-
The process and staging for our return.
-
Considerations for faculty and primary investigators as we plan for on-campus research, scholarship and creative activity.
-
Guidance about health and safety, social distancing, and laboratory operations for all researchers returning to campus.
-
Actions that must be taken if any on-campus researchers become ill or test positive for COVID-19.
