Lubbock Avalanche-Journal - Texas Tech President Lawrence Schovanec penned a letter to students on Wednesday, saying the university hopes to have students and faculty back on campus in Fall 2020. It’s a move leadership at the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center is also considering.
“This decision is predicated on the fact that COVID-19 cases in the City of Lubbock continue to decline and that health officials advise us that it is possible to implement a return-to-campus process in a manner that protects the health and safety of our students, faculty, and staff,” Schovanec wrote.
If conditions permit, Schovanec said Texas Tech may provide some face-to-face instruction as soon as Summer Session II. Summer Session I will be fully online.
