The production will consist of three original one-act plays.
The BurkTech Players, an ensemble of artists from The Burkhart Center for Autism Education and Research and the School of Theatre & Dance, housed within the J.T. & Margaret Talkington College of Visual & Performing Arts, will perform 'logged in,' a collection of three original one-act plays, at 7:30 p.m. April 12 and 13 at the All Saints Episcopal School's mainstage, located at 3222 103rd St.
The theme for the evening explores how relationships and communication are affected in the digital age. Each play centers on human and not-so-human connections and how collaboration and communication have changed. The performance will include "Infinite Universes" by Liz Lingurar, "Elite Spies" by Morgan Brundrett and "Click to Skip Ad" by Shane Strawbridge.
"The three writers were interested in delving into technology, futuristic subjects and how our relationships are determined by this," said Dori Bosnyak, managing director for the BurkTech Players. "Our overall title reflects the idea that we are always available and interconnected, which is a notion we love to entertain in theatre, as we are such an intertwined community. We hope that our audience is intrigued to explore this subject with us, especially knowing that these are brand new works fresh off our typewriters."
The cast, crew and leadership of the ensemble includes Burkhart students, both past and present, and are dedicated to giving the entire ensemble an experience that encourages them to work collaboratively with others who might be different than them.
The performances are free and open to the public.
