Tech to Town Brings Students, Faculty and Staff Together to Serve Community

The event will conclude with a concert featuring the Plain White T’s.

WHAT: Tech to Town is collaborative effort between Student Union & Activities, Texas Tech University Student Government Association, The Office of the President and the Volunteer Center of Lubbock. Participants will volunteer at different places around the city, including the South Plains Food Bank, Caleb's Closet and local parks. As a thank you to volunteers, the Student Activities Board (SAB) will host the annual Spring Concert featuring the Plain White T's following the day of service.

WHEN: Saturday (April 13)

8:15 a.m. Tech to Town begins

6 p.m. Gates open for concert

8 p.m. concert begins

WHERE: United Supermarkets Arena, 1701 Indiana Ave

EVENT: Tech to Town is an annual day of service that promotes volunteerism throughout Lubbock. Geared towards strengthening the bonds between Texas Tech and the City of Lubbock, this is the fourth year of giving back to the community.

The Spring Concert is free for everyone. Students, faculty, staff and members of the community are invited to enjoy the concert as a thank you for a great year.
