The Texas Tech Alumni Association will incorporate an additional element into this year’s Official Ring Ceremonies.

WHEN: 11:30 a.m. Monday (April 22)

WHERE: McKenzie-Merket Alumni Center, Texas Tech campus, 17th Street and University Avenue; the Bell Tower at the Texas Tech Administration Building located on the south end of Memorial Circle.

EVENT: During the Texas Tech Official Ring Ceremonies, the TTAA will incorporate an additional element to the tradition. The TTAA will host a processional to transport the awarded rings from the McKenzie-Merket Alumni Center to the east Bell Tower of the Texas Tech Administration Building.
Following the processional, Curt Langford, president and CEO of the TTAA, will make brief remarks before the rings are taken into the tower by Saddle Tramps who will ring the Victory Bells over the rings to honor and connect the students with their Texas Tech family.
The Masked Rider, Raider Red and TTAA officials will participate in the procession and students who are receiving their official rings and their families are also invited to participate.
The ring ceremonies are hosted by the TTAA each fall and spring. The graduation-style event presents each participant their ring and gives insight into the history of the ring. This spring, 648 students are set to receive their Official Texas Tech Ring.
