Red Raiders will work together to help beautify the Texas Tech campus.
WHAT: The annual Arbor Day event, hosted by Student Union & Activities, provides Texas Tech University students, faculty and staff the opportunity to work together to beautify the campus, build a sense of community and receive recognition.
WHEN: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday (April 26)
WHERE: Memorial Circle, Texas Tech University
EVENT: The Arbor Day event will feature live music and free food and T-shirts. Groups also will be planting at the event.
The event schedule is as follows:
- 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Free food, T-shirts and water bottles given to those with a Texas Tech student I.D. while supplies last. Shirts are $5 for faculty and staff.
- 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – Participants may pot a plant, play yard games and complete an ethics survey with Bahama Bucks.
- 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. – Live music by Abe Parker.
- 1:05-1:20 p.m. – Closing remarks.
- 1:25 p.m. – Planting begins.
