On Tuesday (Nov. 13), President Lawrence Schovanec will participate in NAFSA’s Sen. Paul Simon Campus Internationalization Presidential Panel webcast, part of International Education Week in Washington, D.C.

WHAT: NAFSA: Association of International Educators, the world's largest nonprofit association dedicated to international education, will host the 2018 Sen. Paul Simon Award Presidential Panel, featuring Texas Tech University President Lawrence Schovanec.
WHEN: 5:30 p.m. ET (4:30 p.m. local time) Tuesday (Nov. 13)
WHERE: The panel, held in Washington, D.C., will be broadcast live.
EVENT: Texas Tech President Lawrence Schovanec will participate in a panel on campus internationalization as part of International Education Week in Washington, D.C. Schovanec will be featured on NAFSA's 2018 Sen. Paul Simon Award Presidential Panel and will speak on developing globally competent students and emphasizing the value international students bring to the Texas Tech campus.
Esther D. Brimmer, NAFSA executive director and CEO, will moderate the presidential panel. In addition to Schovanec, presidents from Simon Award-winning universities Babson College, Stony Brook University and Harper College also will be featured as panelists.
Announced earlier this year, Texas Tech was one of five recipients of NAFSA's 2018 Sen. Paul Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization. The award distinguishes excellence in integrating international education throughout all facets of university and college campuses. Texas Tech's commitment to internationalization is led by the Office of International Affairs.
