The final speaker in the series will be Jesus G. Smith from Lawrence University.
WHAT: The Texas Tech University Division of Diversity, Equity & InclusionFirst Generation Transition & Mentoring Programs will host the finale of the Conversations with the Next Generation Speaker series by welcoming Jesus G. Smith. Smith is an assistant professor of ethnic studies at Lawrence University.
WHEN: 4:30 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 29)
WHERE: Room 169, Human Sciences Building, 1301 Akron Ave.
EVENT: Smith has been published in the areas of Latino LGBT+ issues, race and pornography, sex in the digital age and race and racism online. His expertise focuses on the intersections of race, gender and sexuality online. Smith examines how these contribute to health behaviors such as contraception use and sexual risk activity.
The event is free and open to the public. Food will be provided.
