WHAT: Before a panel discussion on climate change solutions, media will have the chance to speak with the panelists:
- Katharine Hayhoe, director of the Climate Science Center at Texas Tech University and professor in the Department of Political Science will serve as moderator;
- Joey Hall, executive vice president of Permian Operations for Pioneer Natural Resources Company;
- Bob Inglis, executive director for republicEn.org at George Mason University;
- Michael Webber, acting director of the Energy Institute and professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Texas at Austin.
The panel discussion, at 7 p.m. Friday (Oct. 12) in the Allen Theatre of the Student Union Building, will open the 2018-19 Presidential Lecture & Performance Series.
