The event is the latest in the “Museum by Night: Illuminating Ideas” series.
WHAT: The Museum of Texas Tech University, with assistance from the Helen Jones Foundation, Inc., will host the next event in the “Museum by Night: Illuminating Ideas” series. “Cool Salsa and Hot Music” will feature salsa making, salsa tasting and salsa music.
WHEN: 6-8 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 20)
WHERE: Museum of Texas Tech University, 3301 4th St.
ABOUT: Alfonso Sanchez, a Texas Tech instructor in the Department of Hospitality and Retail Management, and his students will talk about the ingredients needed to make great salsa. Free chips and salsa will be available for tasting, and attendees also will have access to a cash bar.
Charles Olivier and the Texas Tech Tango Orchestra will provide music, and the Artist Printmaker/Photographer Research Collection will be open with a small showing of the work of Ricardo Vicente Jose Ruiz.
The event is free and open to the public.
