Library to Host Hispanic Heritage Month Event

WHAT: Texas Tech University Library ‘Lightning Talks'

WHEN: 3:30 p.m. Oct. 4

WHERE: Croslin Room, University Library

EVENT: The University Library will host ‘Lightning Talks' in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Scheduled speakers include Miguel Levario, associate professor in the Department of History ; Idoia Elola, professor of Spanish in the Department of Classical and Modern Languages and Literatures ; and Margie Olivarez, a local community activist and breast cancer survivor.

A Hispanic Heritage Month exhibit also will be featured in the Croslin Room of the library through Oct. 15.

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Parking is available in the R11 (band) lot southeast of the library.
