Texas Tech Hosting U.S. Farm Report/AgriTalk College Road Show

The live show will feature researchers from the College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources.

WHAT: U.S. Farm Report and AgriTalk College Road Show taping

WHEN: 10 a.m. to noon Friday (Sept. 14)

WHERE: Southwest gate of Jones AT&T Stadium

EVENT: Farm Journal will host the U.S. Farm Report and AgriTalk College Road Show in conjunction with Texas Tech University's Celebrate Cotton football game against the University of Houston at Jones AT&T Stadium.

The U.S. Farm Report, which airs locally on Fox 34, features experts discussing the latest happenings and trends in the world of agriculture with a particular focus on the cotton industry. Friday's show will highlight the research and efforts being done within the College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources that affect all aspects of agriculture, a vital part of life in West Texas.

Guests are expected to be Texas Tech researchers Phil Johnson, Darren Hudson and Glen Ritchie. Johnson is the Charles Thompson Chair of the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics and is an expert in agribusiness finance, financial analysis and property appraisal. Hudson is the Larry Combest Chair in Agricultural and Applied Economics and is an expert in the cotton market and economic projections. Ritchie is an associate professor of crop physiology in the Department of Plant and Soil Science who examines effective and economical water management strategies for area crop production.

The taping for the shows is free and open to the public. The taped episode of U.S. Farm Report will air on Fox 34 at 7 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 15) and on RFD-TV at 9 a.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 16). AgriTalk airs weekdays at 10 a.m. on KFLP 900 AM.
