Friends of the Libraries to Host Bison Discussion

Caprock Canyon State Park superintendent and bison expert Donald Beard will speak.

WHAT: “The Texas State Bison Herd – An American Icon”

WHEN: 5:30 p.m. Tuesday (July 24)

WHERE: Texas Tech University Library Croslin Room

EVENT: Donald Beard, park superintendent of Caprock Canyon State Park, will present “The Texas State Bison Herd – An American Icon” at the Texas Tech University Library Croslin Room.

Beard took over management of Caprock Canyon State Park in 2009 and the state's bison herd was moved to the region a year later.

The presentation is hosted by Texas Tech Friends of the Libraries and is free and open to the public. Membership information will be available.

Parking for the event will be available in R11 (band lot) southeast of library.
