WHAT: Third public reading of 2018 WildWind Performance Lab

WHEN: 7 p.m. Friday (June 22)

WHERE: Charles E. Maedgen Jr. Lab Theatre , 2812 18th St.

EVENT: The Texas Tech University School of Theatre & Dance , housed within the J.T. & Margaret Talkington College of Visual & Performing Arts , will host the third public reading of the 2018 WildWind Performance Lab. This reading will feature “Kakistocracy, Or Behind Every Great Dumbass are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive.”

The play from guest artist and playwright Selina Fillinger is a rowdy and irreverent look at sex and politics. The work focuses on a particularly bad day at the White House, when the president unwittingly spins a public relations nightmare into a global crisis and the seven women he most relies upon risk their careers, families and freedom to save the day.

The reading is free and open to the public.
