Texas Tech University, Austin Community College to Announce New Partnership

Austin Community College students will be able to transfer more easily to Texas Tech.

WHAT: Texas Tech University and Austin Community College (ACC) will announce a new educational partnership.

WHEN: 10 a.m. Thursday (June 21)

WHERE: ACC Highland Campus, Building 1000, Social Staircase, 6101 Highland Campus Drive, Austin, Texas

EVENT: Members from Texas Tech and ACC will sign a memorandum of understanding, making it easier for ACC students to transfer to Texas Tech.

The signing also will launch the TechTeach Across Texas educational partnership between the two institutions. This gives ACC students the opportunity to fast-track their path to a bachelor of science degree by going from an associate to a bachelor's degree in one year while also earning a teacher certification.
