Eenadu India - Childhood friendship may have benefits on your health, according to multi-decade findings.
"These findings suggest that our early social lives may have a small protective influence on our physical health in adulthood, and it's not just our caregivers or financial circumstances, but also our friends who may be health protective," says psychological scientist Jenny Cundiff of Texas Tech University.The study comprised of well-controlled racially diverse sample. The study provided that socially integrated early in life is good in affecting several factors in adulthood. They researchers examined data from 267 individuals in the youngest cohort.
The parents were then asked about the children's time spent with their friends in an average up to the age of 6 to 16 years. The findings indicated a positive effect on their childhood and adolescence.
