Registration for Texas Tech University Stole Ceremonies Closing Soon

Students with Military & Veterans Programs or the Office of LGBTQIA can register to be recognized at their respective stole ceremonies.

Registration for the Texas Tech University Military & Veterans Programs (MVP) and the Office of LGBTQIA stole ceremonies is coming to a close.

Military & Veterans Programs

MVP will host a Stole and Recognition Ceremony at 10:30 a.m. May 17 in the Helen DeVitt Jones Auditorium. Graduating Texas Tech veterans and service members will be awarded a special camouflage-tipped stole, and graduating family members will be awarded a special recognition certificate. Dress is business and business casual. Refreshments will be served immediately following the event.

Graduating students will be sent a notice from MVP about the Stole & Recognition Ceremony and should RSVP by noon May 16 to mvp@ttu.edu.

Lavender Graduation

The Office of LGBTQIA and Risk Intervention & Safety Education (RISE) will host Lavender Graduation at 5 p.m. May 17 in the Student Union Building Matador Room. The gathering hosts graduating LGBTQIA students, their families and their friends for dinner and a recognition ceremony. Campus administrators and Texas Tech alumnus Randall Gentry are featured speakers. Dress is business casual.

Graduating students and all guests who want to attend must register online by 5 p.m. May 3.
