Texas Tech Hosts 13th Annual Burkhart Walk for Autism Awareness

The community and students are invited to support National Autism Awareness Month.

WHAT: 13th Annual Burkhart Walk for Autism Awareness

WHEN: 2-4 p.m. Sunday (April 29)

WHERE: John Walker Soccer Complex, 3901 10th St.

EVENT: The Texas Tech University Burkhart Center for Autism Education and Research is hosting the 13th Annual Burkhart Walk for Autism Awareness. Students, faculty, staff and the Lubbock community are invited to show their support for autism awareness.

The event is free to the public. Free T-shirts will be distributed while supplies last. Local service providers and community agencies will share information about autism resources in Lubbock. No food or pets are allowed inside the soccer complex.

Burkhart Enterprises, KLBK-TV, KAMC-TV, American Campus Communities, Food King, Guardian Utility Construction, JP's Fundwear and the S.S. Foundation are lead sponsors for the event. Friends and partners of the event include Amerigroup, Prosperity Bank, Parkview Pediatric Dentistry, United Supermarkets and High Point Village.
