The Imbroglio Sextet performance will benefit music in Haiti.

Imbroglio Sextet

WHAT: The Texas Tech University School of Music, housed within the J.T & Margaret Talkington College of Visual & Performing Arts, will host a guest artist recital for the Imbroglio Sextet, a trumpet, clarinet and string ensemble.

WHEN: 8 p.m. Friday (March 30)

WHERE: Hemmle Recital Hall, 2624 W. 18th St.

Imbroglio Sextet

WHAT: The Imbroglio Sextet presents a repertoire from Haiti, Spain, Argentina and the United States. Their musical selections combine jazz, classical and international folk music into a unique contemporary setting. The event will benefit music in Haiti through Blume Haiti and the École de Musique Sainte Trinité, the school that runs the Haitian music camp where the group's members met. The sextet is currently on tour through Texas and New Mexico.
