Climate Science Center Hosts Seminar on Migration

The seminar will cover topics including migration as a result of climate change.

WHAT: The Texas Tech University Climate Science Center will host a seminar titled “Climate and Migration.”

WHEN: Noon, Tuesday (March 20)

WHERE: Experimental Sciences Building, Room 120

EVENT: Fernando Riosmena, an associate professor in the department of geography at the University of Colorado Boulder, is a demographer who is focused on migration, health and the environment.

Nadia Flores-Yeffal, an assistant professor of sociology in the Texas Tech College of Arts and Sciences, will moderate the discussion after Riosmena's presentation.

The sponsors for this seminar are the Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Social Work and the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
