
Beginning Thursday, the dinner series highlights cuisine from distinctive cities throughout the United States.
For its Spring Dinner Series, Skyviews Restaurant will highlight a food from a distinctive city every week and create menus based on what is most popular there.
Each week, students will engineer and execute a dinner menu that celebrates the style of food and culture of a significant city, starting with Miami. The Spring Dinner Series begins Thursday (Feb. 8) and runs through April.
The lineup for the dinner series is:
- Feb. 8 – Miami
- Feb. 15 – New York City – a Valentine's Day dinner with a champagne toast included.
- Feb. 22 – New Orleans
- March 1 – San Francisco
- March 8 – Dallas
- March 22 – Austin
- March 29 – Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) Special Evening Dinner and a Movie – “Julie and Julia” featuring recipes from Julia Child – Open to OLLI members only.
- April 5 – Los Angeles
- April 12 – Atlanta
- April 19 – Fort Worth
- April 26 – Chicago
A five-course, pre-fixed menu with choice of entrée is $29. The dinners on Feb. 15 and March 29 are $35. Skyviews features a wine list as well as a full bar.
Dinner begins at 6 p.m. with reservations taken every 15 minutes until 7:30 p.m. Reservations for the March 29 dinner must be made through the OLLI office at (806) 742-OLLI (6554.)
