(VIDEO) Since 1925, the Goin' Band from Raiderland has brought the campus community together with its traditional tunes.

It's the oldest student organization at Texas Tech. For more than 90 years, members of the Goin' Band from Raiderland have performed at home and away football games, parades, exhibitions and other special events.

Marching in front of a sold-out Jones AT&T Stadium takes practice though - a lot of it. That's why the more than 400 members, who audition in August, dedicate about eight hours a week to rehearsals once the fall semester begins. But preparing for game day performances really starts over the summer.

"They're very long days," Jessica Calvit, a member of the Goin' Band, said. "We rehearse from Monday to Friday, mainly 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. or 8 a.m. to 9 p.m."
