
Red Raiders will work together to help beautify the Texas Tech campus.

WHAT: The annual Arbor Day event provides Texas Tech University students, faculty and staff the opportunity to work together to beautify the campus, build a sense of community and receive recognition.
WHEN: 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday (April 28)
WHERE: Memorial Circle
EVENT: The Arbor Day event will feature live music and free food and T-shirts. Groups also will be planting at the event.
The event's schedule is as follows:
- 11 a.m.-1 p.m. – Free food, T-shirt and water bottle given to those with a Texas Tech student I.D. while supplies last. Shirts are $5 for faculty and staff.
- 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. – Participants may pot a plant.
- 11:40 a.m.-12:40 p.m. – John Rush: "The Human iPod" performs.
- 12:45 p.m.-1:20 p.m. – Student Organization Awards take place.
- 1:20 p.m. – Planting begins.
