The comedy theater troupe will perform the best sketches and songs from its 55-year history.
WHAT: Texas Tech University welcomes Chicago's legendary sketch and improv comedy troupe, The Second City, as part of the Presidential Lecture & Performance Series.
The group will perform "The Best of The Second City." The must-see show features the best sketches and songs from its 55-year history – made famous by superstars like Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, Mike Meyers, Chris Farley, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, John and Jim Belushi, John Candy, Steve Carell, Gilda Radner, Bill Murray and more – as well as their trademark improvisation.
The Second City is celebrating more than five decades of producing cutting-edge satirical revues and launching the careers of generation after generation of comedy's best and brightest.
Show content is suitable for ages 17 and older.
Tickets to the lecture are $18 and are available through Select-A-Seat at (806) 770-2000 or www.selectaseatlubbock.com. Texas Tech students may receive one free ticket with a valid student ID at the Student Union Building ticket booth.
