Texas Tech University

The College of Media and Communication at Texas Tech University offers students a comprehensive education in the ever-changing communications world. The School of Mass Communications became its own college in 2004 and was renamed to the College of Media and Communication in 2012. The more than 1,400 students in this college are engaged in a variety of media opportunities within the six degrees offered: advertising, communication studies, electronic media and communications, journalism, media strategies and public relations.

College of Media and Communication dean David Perlmutter and associate dean for undergraduate affairs Todd Chambers say students in this college will experience a well-rounded education taught by faculty members who understand the foundation of effective communication, but who also are on the pulse of rapidly changing media trends and unmatched technology.
