Pop Culture and Comics Expert Comments on Marvel Shake-ups

The publisher announces plans for a black Captain America and female Thor.

This week, Marvel Entertainment announced it would replace the comic book incarnation of Thor with a female version, and quickly followed up with a new face for Captain America.

The new man to replace Steve Rogers as Captain America and carry the patriotic shield will be none other than Sam Wilson, formerly the superhero known as the Falcon, who is black.
