Agricultural Education and Communications Hosting Social Media Workshop

Seminar is designed to help farmers and ranchers promote their business.

The Department of Agricultural Education and Communication in the Texas Tech University College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources is hosting a workshop for farmers and ranchers on the use of social media to promote their businesses.

Promoting Your Business Beyond the Farm Gate is scheduled for 2 to 5 p.m., July 24, in Room 107 of the Agricultural Education and Communications Building on the Texas Tech campus.

Erica Irlbeck, a professor with the college, said the focus of the workshop will be to create a social media plan for farmers and ranchers that will promote their agribusiness and teach the best practices for websites and blogs.

An RSVP is required to attend the workshop. A registration form is available online at www.beyondthefarmgate.org/events.html. The workshop is free but space is limited.
