Rawls College of Business Featured in Princeton Review

Texas Tech University’s Rawls College of Business is an outstanding business school, according to the education services company, The Princeton Review. The company features the school in the new 2013 edition of its annual guidebook, “The Best 296 Business Schools.” The reference book is available in bookstores and online.

According to Robert Franek, Princeton Review senior vice president, “We consider the Rawls College at Texas Tech one of the best institutions a student could attend to earn an MBA. We selected the schools we profile in this book – 280 of which are in the U.S.A. and 16 are international – based on our high regard for its academic programs and our reviews of institutional data we collect from the schools.”

Franek said they also solicit and respect the opinions of students attending the schools that rate and report on their experiences at them on the 80-question survey for the book.

“The Best 296 Business Schools” has two-page profiles of the schools.  They include write-ups on academics, career and placement, admissions, and student life and environment. The profiles also have ratings (scores from 60 to 99) for academic experience, admissions selectivity and career services.

The Rawls College of Business offers a broad selection of concentrations, including agribusiness, entrepreneurship, health organization management, MIS, real estate, and international business. I have never met anyone within the program that was not willing to help the students succeed,’ one student writes.”

The Princeton Review’s survey asked 19,000 students at the 296 schools their opinions of their school’s academics, student body and campus life as well as about themselves and their career plans. The student surveys analyzed for this edition were all completed online and conducted during the 2011-12, 2010-11 and 2009-10 academic years.
