Red to Black Hosts Financial Education Week

Learn to take control of your finances during the the week-long event, from March 26-30.

Texas Tech’s Red to Black, an outreach program of the Texas Tech Department of Personal Financial Planning, will have activities, workshops, prizes and free food planned throughout the week of March 26-30 to celebrate its seventh annual Financial Education Week.

Sasha Whitley, Financial Education Week marketing co-chair, said Financial Education Week is important because students running Red to Black want their peers to be aware of and educated about their finances.

“With the most recent financial crisis and recession, now more than ever, we have to be in control of our finances. So our goal is just that,” Whitley said.
