WHAT: Texas Tech’s Division of Institutional Diversity, Equity and Community Engagement will host the Celebrate Diversity Scholarship Dinner.
WHEN: 7 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 30)
WHERE: Texas Tech Merket Alumni Center, 17th Street and University Avenue
EVENT: The division hosts the dinner to raise funds for scholarships. All proceeds are tax deductible and will benefit Texas Tech students.
Actor Terrence Howard will keynote the dinner speaking on topics such as acting, equity, education and community. Howard’s acting career includes movies “Ray,” “Four Brothers,” “Crash,” “The Princess and the Frog,” “Iron Man” and “Hustle and Flow,” the latter leading him to an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in 2006.
Individual tickets are $70 and $110 with the VIP reception included. Tickets for students who present a valid Texas Tech ID at the time of purchase are $45.
