Library to Honor Faculty Achievements with Annual Exhibit

Texas Tech University Libraries will hold the 27th Annual Faculty Academic Contributions Exhibit (FACE) Wednesday (Oct. 5).

The event will begin at 2:30 p.m. in Library Room 309, with a keynote presentation by Katharine Hayhoe, atmospheric scientist and Nobel Prize-winning contributor to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). She will discuss “Climate Variability and Change in West Texas: Natural and Human Dimensions.”

The presentation will be followed by an interactive electronic and physical exhibit and reception downstairs in the Library’s Croslin Room. Michelle Pantoya is among the noted authors and faculty to be featured. She will showcase her children’s book, “Engineering Elephants,” and also Brian Still, who will demonstrate EyeGuide, an eye-tracking system.

The theme for this year’s exhibit is “A World of Influence: Celebrating the Impact of Texas Tech University” and will showcase the work of more than 100 faculty members.

All students, faculty and staff are invited to attend.
