Major Change: Texas Tech University Hosts Academic Majors Fair

“You have the power. Come to the Academic Majors Fair.”

Texas Tech University is hosting the Academic Majors Fair from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday (March 7) in the Student Union Building.

“The academic majors fair will provide an opportunity for students to either confirm their current major or explore their interests by engaging with representatives from each of the academic colleges,” said Gregory Elkins, dean of students.

Information and presentations will be offered throughout the day, and light snacks will be provided. At the fair students will be able to:

  • Explore all the majors Texas Tech has to offer.
  • Get answers about how to change majors and the requirements.
  • Discover what one can do with a particular major.
  • Start the process to change a major.

“Students should take advantage of the unique opportunity of having all the academic colleges in the same room focused on helping students explore interests and identify majors that fit them best,” said Amy Murphy, associate dean of students.
